The
difference between an okay date and a great date is usually dating
etiquette. It’s really interesting to realize just how important the little
things are to people. Dating etiquette does involve being polite and
considerate of another’s feelings, but it involves more than that as well.
Although online dating sites can eliminate certain aspects of small talk,
you’ll inevitably have to engage in some of this at some point or another.
In proper dating etiquette, it is very important to pay close
attention to your date and to really show them that you are listening. You
can use a variety of dating etiquette techniques to do this, but asking
questions about the subject matter and looking them in the eye usually does
this best.
Other
aspects of dating etiquette include taking your date’s values and beliefs
seriously. If you know that your date is conservative, a goodnight kiss
might not be the best way to end a date. Similarly, making inappropriate
remarks of any kind towards any religion, race or creed is simply not
acceptable. It’s a sure way to talk your way out of any potential second
date, no matter who your partner is. |
